Kids
Children are special here at PVBC. Our vision is to foster within each child the desire to discover God in a personal way. We do this by providing a variety of opportunities for all ages of children.
Sunday School & Children’s Church
Sunday School (9:00 am Sundays) offers classes for children from birth through age 6.
Children’s Church (11:00 am Sundays) is a recreation based Bible club for kids 4 years old thru grade 6.
AWANA
AWANA is a program for children ages 3 to grade 6. AWANA meets every Thursday from 6:25 pm to 8:00 pm. Children participate in recreation activities and Bible learning activities. (Sept-May)
MUSIC
Choirs for children ages 4 through grade 6 meet on Sunday evenings at 5:00pm. (Fall thru Spring)
ACTIVITIES and EVENTS
During the year there are special activities including Vacation Bible School, Kid’s Camp, class parties, and other fun stuff.
Our student ministry exists to build relationships with students, encourage intimacy with God and a lifestyle that reflects the character and priorities of Christ, and prepares them to impact this generation.
There is our Sunday morning Bible study for both Jr. High and Sr. High. It meets at 10:45 am.
There is our ministry for Jr. High and Sr. High students. It meets on Wednesday at 7:00 pm. It includes worship, Bible study with small group discussion, prayer and fellowship time.
CHOIR & DRAMA
During the year our youth participate in various musical presentations in conjunction with our adult choir and music programs.
ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS
We have retreats, do white-water rafting, attend concerts, game nights, conventions and a variety of other events.
A variety of ministries are available to adults of all ages and in all stages of life.
SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDIES
A number of Bible studies just for adults are available at 9:00 and 11:00 am.
MEN’S MINISTRY
This ministry focuses on applying God’s word to men’s lives. It includes small group Bible studies, retreats, Tuesday Night (7 pm) “Sons of Thunder” Bible study, worship and prayer, Thursday morning (7 am) Bible study and prayer and missions projects.
WOMEN’S MINISTRY
Our women’s ministries exist to encourage women to study God’s principles for daily living and provide felloship. We offer small group Bible studies, fellowship groups, MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers), retreats and other activities designed just for women.
SENIOR ADULTS
Our senior adults are an active part of our fellowship. They have their own small group Bible studies and a monthly fellowship time called Young n’ Heart.
Music plays a vital role in the life of our church. A wide variety of musical groups for all ages, provides many opportunities for involvement. In addition to the weekly participation of the musical groups in our services, there are special presentations each year.
Worship Team
These auditioned vocalists help lead in the 9:00 am worship service. For High school and adult.
Small Group Ensembles
Instrumental and vocal small groups.
Bell Choir
Celebration Choir
This choir helps lead 11:00 am worship and at least two major presentations each year. It is composed of adults and Sr High students.
Worship Band
Auditioned instrumentalists who play in the 9:00 am worship service.
Instrumental Ensemble
Band and orchestral instrumentalists who play in the 11:00 am worship service.
Sound Team
Operates audio visual equipment during the worship services.
