Christmas 2008

Friday, December 5th, 2008

Our year got off to a fabulous start with the birth of Amabella Louise Smith on January 5th.  Now we know how great it is to be grandparents.  We babysit on
Darryl went to Mexico 3 times this year,  (January, June and October) on mission trips to build houses for the poor.  The trip in June was with the church youth group.  Darryl celebrated his 60th birday in March.  Sarah and Jon came down from Oregon for the event and for Amabella’s baby dedication at Trevor and Tawnya’s church the same weekend.
We had a 101st birthday party for my grandmother in May.  Her children came out for the event.
In August, we drove to Oregon to visit Sarah and Jon.  While we were there, Sarah hosted a Bill Graham (Judy’s uncle) family party with cousins and babies.  Ken and Lynn’s oldest daughter Jennifer got married to Ryan Theim in August.  Sarah and Jon came down for the wedding.  My grandmother also went and enjoyed herself.
In September, my parents “grandchildren” put on a craft shop sale for them.  Sarah was the organizer and did a great job.
Trevor turned 30 years old in October.  Tawnya catered a lovely party for him.
Trevor and Tawnya like parenthood so much that they are going to have another girl in  February.
One of my favorite activities this year, other then watching Amabella  was taking a Revelation class at church.  I’ve also started  to teach Sunday School to 3 year olds every other month.  So, please keep me in your prayers.
Have a great 2009.
Love,  Judy and Darryl
